This is a new model ... so new that the first production run was mid-December 2011. The unit I received had a minor issue requiring involvement of Peerless' exemplary customer service. (A replacement was instantly Fedexed by Peerless.)My previous Peerless mount was my first in-home installation, and I selected the two-stud ultra-thin articulating model. That worked out well for a heavier (37#) 46" Samsung. Soon after, I installed another 46" Samsung with a no-name wall mount, using a single stud design. That was OK for the room it was in, which had limited movement of the TV. But it encouraged me to try this Peerless mount with a Sony KDLHX46729 -- which weighs only 32# with the base removed. This is an amazing wall mount! A full 24" articulation, with one-touch tilt and 5-degree roll correction. The TV sits flush against the wall when not in use. The installation was very easy and the articulation, tilt, and rotate adjustments work well with no tools needed. The construction seems very solid.A few things that could use improvement: 1) The main hinge on the wall groans and squeaks when turned. I lubricated it with silicon spray but the sound did not go away. It's a scary sound given that only 2 bolts hold the mount to the wall but the mount seems to be holding up 2) One of the hinges closest to the TV looks slightly tilted and rusted. The plastic cap came cracked. Hopefully this doesn't the performance, but I expected better quality control from one of the premium names in mounts. This unit shipped directly from Peerless so it's not second hand (I think) 3) The bolts to attach this mount to the wall were phillips head screws.
